A nerd needs a project because a nerd builds stuff. All the time. Those lulls in the conversation over dinner? That’s the nerd working on his project in his head.
It's almost ridiculous (and painful) how true this is for me. The dislike of small talk, love for toys and puzzles, appetite for information.. my relationship with my computer. It isn't to say you can't change some of the behavior (see not giving your gf attention because you've figured her out) but at the basis this is how our minds work.
Good to know I'm not the only one! Would it be socially acceptable for me to send this to a girl prior to our first date? I mean I'm morally obligated to warn her right?
